Ah yes, thank you, but git (at least the versions we have tried) doesn't 
create the magic windows 7 kind.  However even if it did I'm not sure we 
would go back.  The hard-linked path in the redirector file shows up in 
grep, source editors, commit history, etc.  We like the visibility.
