Hi fellow developers, I have a long-running node process that keeps hogging memory until the machine runs out and crash.
When the process starts, the OS reports around 100mb and node-inspector's heap snapshot reports ~70mb. After a while, the OS will report over 1gb of memory usage for the process, but node-inspector still reports the same ~70mb snapshot size. I'm running node v4.5.0 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS I normally debug leaks using node-inspector, but it seems irrelevant in this case. I am very puzzled by this situation and I am looking for ways I could debug and understand this, any pointers, hints or tool recommendations are appreciated.
