The plugins I can't live with are the guitarix simulations. There's a
bunch of them as LADSPA but not the actual amp/cab simulations.
Unfortunatly, there's no efficient "recall" function in the standalone
guitarix soft (that said, I'd be happier without the heavy ass gui).

p.s. : a bit off topic, but is it normal that non-mixer's midi
learn doesn't work on plugins.
It does work on plugins, but you have to 'bind' the controls you want
to learn first (open the module parameter editor, right click on a
control and select 'bind', then it will appear in the Controls view,
where you can select it for learning).
As to the lv2 thing. I have low interest in supporting LV2 in Non
Mixer. A unified OSC control scheme between Non and Carla is more
likely (not to mention less of a PITA).
You might also want to look into a tool called jm2cv, which can help
connecting non-timeline to control things via MIDI. non-midi-mapper
can do the same thing, but you'll have to f igure out how to set it up
as it's not yet documented.
Out of curiosity, what LV2 plugins do you need?
