Correct. I think you'll find that x-www-browser points to Geany (whatever
that is) and not the browser you want... You'll have to figure out how your
distro manages that and change it.

Yes, cross fades are manual, but they're easy enough to set by pointing the
mouse and hitting F3 or F4.

As to overlap... yeah, if you have overlapping regions you may find it hard
to point the mouse at the right one... Nobody said you had to have
overlapping regions on the same track though (some NLE's don't allow
overlaps at all, so all cross fades involve track juggling)... Or that you
couldn't move things around, set the fades and move them back...

As to dragging--fades don't have handles in the GUI so I'm not sure what
ya'll mean by that.

Agreed, normalization is the correct technique to use here. Not a problem.

If you find a display bug, please report it in the issue tracker.
Non-looped regions should not be displaying any waveform beyond the end of
the clip.
The reason regions can be longer than the clip they refer to is to allow
looping.
