Hi Ruud, I have been doing some event editing adding CC4 pedal effects
and it took me a long time to figure out how to control where the
inserted event will appear. It seems that you can get close to the
position you want by first "selecting" a note at or near the right
position before entering the event editor. It makes it easier to scroll
through the list to find the selected event.

Now when I insert the control it usually appears between the note ON
and note OFF events and it is almost easy to cut and paste a new
timecode to position it exactly where I want. I haven't yet had the
experience of finding the CC all the way back at time zero, but I look
forward to it with dread :~)

It is a bit of a pain when adding a lot of carefully positioned CC4s
for a drum pedal, but it can be done with patience.
