I fail to see how you can trigger multiple patterns with just one CC number though... Or can you just set non-sequencer to play e.g. hit the play button?

Thanks, but my korg nano kontrol 1 doesn't have the option to set a scene to channel 0. 1 to 16. Let's see if I can re-route something

Yes, it's possible and it works. It's just not very configurable. You have to use Channel 0 CC 20. IIRC it only works for triggering patterns, not phrases.

Is it actually possible to trigger non-sequencers using a
controller? The manual says it is possible, but is that actually
    implemented?

    5. Control

Non creates two MIDI input ports, one for /performance/ data and
one for /control/ data. The control port is used to control Non
with hardware MIDI controllers, such as the BCF2000, or other
software. The performance port is used to record musical data
    into patterns.
