1. Check that jack can see your audio interface with jack_lsp command which lists the jack ports. The sound card ports if present will usually be called something like 'system:capture_1' etc. for inputs and 'system:playback_1' etc. for outputs. 2. If sound card ports are present, use a jack connection manager like patchage or qjackctl to connect them to the inputs of non-timeline. (You need to set up the required tracks in non-timeline before you see any non-timeline inputs). John
