Dear members,
It's highly unfortunate that gory incidents
of ragging go on unabated despite the strict measures proposed by
Raghavan committee. What would be the use of such committees, while
the recommendations are brushed aside by the careless management and
the state governments? We know that the committee also bears a role
of monitoring whether the recommendations are enforced or not. But
what went wrong? Are they pursuing the task? Please anyone let me
know about it.

I don't know why the college management is
run after the routine outdated procedure of suspension of seniors in
case of ragging. They should be simply handed over to police. Its'
highly rare to hear that some perpetrators got 2 years jail term for
ragging while our laws stipulates the same. The reason is the college
management and the judiciary goes soft on these monsters due to one
or another reason. Until and unless the perpetrators are pt behind
bar such despicable incidents will continue with dire sequels.

Regrads,

J.Swami Dass
