activists and one SFI activist of the Government Law College here were
admitted to the district hospital following alleged assault and ragging
attempt by an eight-member group of SFI students of the college on
Friday.The four first-year KSU students admitted to the hospital- Rohit
Krishna Das, Faizal, Vinod and Irshad- alleged that the eight-member
group of SFI activists had asked Rohit Krishna Das to undress while he
was in the classroom.When the other three tried to protect Krishna Das,
they were assaulted by the SFI activists.The KSU activists said that
the group which tried to assault them included two first year students
and six senior students of the college.One among them, M.C. Sandeep,
was admitted to the hospital.Police said that a case had been
registered and investigation was on.
