Hi Miss Sandhya & all Memebers,
I have already posted a message regarding this.
Now you have suggested about the derecognizing of the college by MCI. What
about engineering college? Should AICTE involve? What about arts
colleges/polytechnics/ pharmacy colleges? Do you expect pertaining bodies
should involve? Do they have enough man power to do that? Certainly we can say
âNoâ. I am unable to understand why we are so linear in those incidents
which claim lives which are irreparable loss to society and to the family of
the student. Already existing laws stipulate a two years jail term for the
perpetrators of ragging. Have you heard that this have been implemented in any
case?
Why we forget the role of HRD Minster and education secretary
in such issues. They have the authority as well as moral and official
responsibility to curb this menace. So, I strongly advocate a law which will
enable people of India to try these responsible people in court and slap
rigorous imprisonment for them for dereliction of duty which resulted into
death of budding graduate. Do you feel I am suggesting an immature or wrong
idea? Should the HRD ministers at state and centre levels sit idle and watch
such ragging deaths like a sport? I kindly request (throâ this forum) any NGO
to file a suit against these high profile culprits who do nothing other than
issuing mere warnings at the beginning of academic session. Please do it.
Regards,
Dass
