A second year student of Post Graduate (PG) College, Secunderabad, was
beaten up by his senior in the college premises on Tuesday.

According to the police, a second year BCom student, Mahesh, was beaten
up by his senior in the college premises for an alleged ‘insult’. The
incident took place around 9.30 am on Tuesday.

“After reaching the college, Mahesh straight away went to his classroom
and left his bag. He went to the washroom and was returning when he
came across a student coming from the opposite direction. Mahesh asked
the student, who happened to be his senior, to come inside the
classroom. A minor altercation broke out and Mahesh was hit on the
face,” Begumpet police inspector A Yadagiri said.

Mahesh reportedly was not aware that the other student, Venkateshwarlu,
was his senior. Venkateshwarlu is a final year B Com student. Mahesh
suffered a mild injury on the nose.
