Area Of Operation
The geographical and administrative area of entire
Sonitpur
District under state of Assam is the area of operation
and this NGO
will entertain the right of implementing various
programmes in any
of the revenue circle, development blocks and Gaon
Panchayat areas
of the district as a Non-Government & Non-Political
Voluntary
Organisation.
Aims
Organizing dedicational service in the filed of
vocational,
productive, financial programmes and activities through
self-help
and self-support system and means along with target of
including
congenial socio-economic, ecological atmosphere in the
society.
Objectives
In order to reach its goals as stated in the 'Aims' of
Agragami
the following steps and activities will be undertaken
in its area of
operation :
(A) Working for the welfare, service of people.
(B) Implementation of fruitful activities for welfare
of especially
the farmers, wage-labours, old and infirm people,
orphans, Disabled
childern, widows and women.
(C) As a part of rural development, Agragami will take
measures for
construction and repairing of roads, drains, protection
of
environment & prevention pollution; irrigation and
making proper use
of wastelands.
(D) Besides taking steps for assistance of the farmers
in
agriculture, Agragami may also adopt plantation,
orchard, gardening
plantation and protection of herbs for medicine.
fishery, agri-farms,
veterinary on its own and through such enterprises
steps will be
taken for self establishment, investment, business etc.
from the
benefits and profits.
(E) Preservation and processing of fruits.
(F) Steps and activities to be taken relating to health
& hygiene,
sanitation, establishing pure drinking water system,
repairing and
construction of materials in connections with
affordable sanitary
latrines and supply of them.
(G) Organising of Vocational training for willing
people.
(H) Taking efforts of cottage & small scale industry,
handicrafts,
weaving and other such traditional means and their
modernization.
(I) Conducting of various Seminars, Workshop, Fair,
Exhibition,
Training etc. including educational activities and
programmes.
(J) Development and publicity of culture, arts and
literature.
(K) To work for various economic programmes like
formation and
nurturing Self Help Groups, Thrift & Credit, Micro
Finance/Insurance and
implementing rural development programmes, awareness of
socio-economic consciousness may be created. Through
lottery, the
profit will be utilized for social activities.
(L) To work as Nodal Agency between the government
departments and
the community in regard to successful implementation of
various
schemes offered by projects, departments etc.
(M) Participation in any contract, lease and others
lawful
activities/business, Auction and this up Agency in
Insurance,
Finance & Banking etc.
(N) To work as representative/ Member of state/
National and foreign
Organisation/ Trust as well as borrowing of loan,
acceptance
financial assistance for implement projects activities.
(O) To Open Branch Offices in any where with in the
area of operation
of N.G.O. for extention & expansion of the work services to the
people.
