I am having a similar problem except that I can't fix my like the person above
can. I've tried reseting the x and y values of the GUIConfig name="AppPosition"
setting in the config.xml file - no go (do I need to log off or reboot for these
changes to take effect?, am I modifying the right parameters?). I've
uninstalled
and re-installed - no go (something must hang around after the uninstall).

I use N++ A LOT everyday.  <b>PLEASE SEND HELP!</b>

Thanks,

Ron Johnson

Greetings,

I'm a somewhat new user of N++. I've been looking in .xml files, etc., for
a way to add or redefine the Folder Words used for existing languages.

Does such a facility exist? If so, how does one go about making the changes?

For example, in an ASP document, it would be useful to have the code fold
on Function/End Function within the opening and closing ASP tags <% %>.

TIA,

David

I'd also love to see the default encoding switchable for UTF-8. It is essential
in today's programming.

Is there a way that I can manually fix my user definition? I created a user
definition and encountered the bug mentioned above, so now my fonts are set
to specific values and I want them to be blank (ie. to take on the default
value).

Are these defined in a text file that I can edit manually to set them back to
blank?

Thanks.

Did you modify the parameters in the Notepad++ install directory, or in the
Application Data/Notepad++ directory. When you actually run the program, you
need to modify the files in application data, as they are the ones used to
actually
run the configuration each time (or delete those files, and it will copy the
ones from the install folder).

This may solve your problem.

I set it to recognize all .bat as Perl, and I'm satisfied with that (I don't
edit many pure Batch files anyway). Thanks

Hello,

First of all, I want to thank Don, Jen and others, who participate in N++
development for this wonderful product!

Dockable plugins (explorer in the left, function list in the right + position
and size save ) + last dir save + syntax highlight = n+++ forever!

But I have several simple questions! MB you can help me...

1) how to swap/delete/reassign Ctrl + L and Ctrl + Shift+ L
hot_keys?
2) tell me please, the name of the plugin, which checks for a new n++ version!
(does it do it automaticaly on n++ startup?)
3) what does "reload from disk" mean in n++ v. 4? (I think, that if the file
was changed - n++ will notice about it and ask to refresh the content or leave
without changes, but what for we need "reload from disk"? )

Best wishes,
  Eugene

I run into this problem quite often, so a fix would be welcome. In the
meantime,
here is another (easier) workaround:

1) Open Notepad++.
2) Right-click icon on taskbar and select Move. The move cursor will appear,
but you won't be able to see it because it's off-screen.
3) Use the left keypad key to move the app back onto the current desktop.

I know that this is probably going to extend Notepad++ beyond its original
concept
(Notepad+++ ?), but I would really like to have a Project Manager to allow me
to save groups of related files as a Project so that they can all be re-visited
in Notepad++ later. This would also remove the annoying situation where I might
have had a dozen files open for some project and then I use the Shell extension
to open a file the next day and I lose the filelist I previously had open...
Maybe a more modest "Session" Manager, (plugin?) might be closer to the original
low-bloat concept of Notepad++?

Actually, I just had a quick perusal at the Plugin API doc and couldn't find
a way to extract the list of currently opened documents from NotePad++?

I did however form the opinion that this feature would probably be best
implemented
as a plug-in, so if Don can indicate here a mechanism to obtain a list of the
currently opened documents, then I will open a new thread in the Plugins forum.
