I just have installed the n++ including the standard plugins...
The Hex Editor plugin looks on my windows xp system a kind of the following:
Address +0 +1 +2 +3 ...

Lt[] Lt[] Lt[] Lt[] Lt[]
Lt[] Lt[] Lt[] Lt[] Lt[]
....
the line my mouse cursor has currently marked looks like
....
P?[] P?[] P?[] P?[] P?[]
....
as you see a lot of strange letters
can anyone help me to display it like a real hex editor?

Hello,
I like to view my non-code documents using a variable width font like Arial,
but obviously a fixed-width is better for code. I haven't found a good way
to do this. Could there be a "Normal Text" option in the style configurator
that lets you override the style for plain text files?

Considering the amount of Win32 API code in Notepad++, I wouldn't hold my breath
waiting for a linux port - you're probably best off using WINE or finding a
linux editor that suits your needs...
