was using 3.9 for the longest time, just saw there was a 4.x update.
backed up my old folder, wiped it, and used the installer to install 4.0.2
now i'm missing a bunch of things from the run menu that i got very used to
having
namly "get php help" which would open to the php function i have hilighted
i dont remember if they where from a plugin, or something else but i dont
remember.
any insight?

nevermind, didnt realize the file was also stored in the APPDATA folder, got
it working.
this can be closed/locked/deleted.

You guys fucked it up. I haven't upgraded since 2.9, you killed the key elements
that I liked.
You'd think that from 2.9 to 4.0 that it would improve, however, it's not so.
The developers really need to rethink how this is going.
If you used 2.9, and added in some of the features of 4.0, it would own.
You guys messed up so many things. Ctrl+tab is supposed to switch tabs forward,
ctrl+shift+tab is supposed to go back. I have no idea how the hell it works now.

First of all I want to say I love Notepad++
Here are some bugs and annoyances I've found:
"Find in files" filters and directories are lost between searches. This is very
annoying when doing many consecutive searches.
Syntax highlighting stops working for new text after "Mark line" is used in
Find
Run menu commands shouldn't require key combinations
Should be able to remove Run menu items from the Run menu
Horizontal scroll bar shouldn't be displayed when it's not needed
What does the history file setting do?
"Groop" should be spelled "Group"
Can't cancel adding a new group in favorites plugin, it just reopens the dialog
until a group is added
Explorer plugin:
Should (optionally?) display whole filenames with extension since Ext
column
header is usually hidden (I didn't even notice it and I've been using the new
version for weeks) and .htaccess (or any other filename beginning with a .)
Name column is blank. It's also confusing to see for example files named a.bak1
a.bak2 a.bak3 all displayed as a
Should be able to edit current path by typing
I like the explorer plugin included with npp3.8 better with files
listed under
their directories. Maybe make it optional?
Not sure what back and forward buttons are doing. It seems like it's
jumping
to random directories.

Version 4.0, I found the option(Trim tailing spaces and Save) from Key-binding
options window. It is more convinient than executing 'trim' command each time.
However, it will intert extra 8 spaces at the cursor unless the cursor is at
the end-of-line. Is it a bug?
And about the line comment (Ctrl-Q). Could it comment the current line when
there is no text selected? It is sugar for commenting single line.

at first, please download the new Beta 1 version of Explorer, Function List
and Hex Editor here:

You can self define your personal preferences. See in
"Plugins->Explorer->Explorer
Options...". Here it is possible to add the extension to the file name. BTW:
I like the separate extension.

No! Use the old plugin if you like it.

They do what they do: It's a stack and they remember the last selected folders.
Regarding this feature I didn't get until now no bug report. I use it every
day and for me it works perfectly. There is no random. If so, use the latest
Beta 1 version.
