I also had the same problem with Notepad++ 3.8. Installed the latest version
4.0.2. and the problem was solved.

Is it a plugin or do you have to start it by a command??? Don't know what "put"
means in this case.
If you would like to run a program by command, you could do this in two ways.
1. Go to menu and select "Run->Run...". Here you could type in your command.
If you would like to start it with the current opened file, there are some
macros
available. See in FAQ of Notepad++ side.
2. There is a nice plugin developed by Vitaliy (DV__). It's a console like
program
called NppExec. You could type directly shell commands and organisate and start
scripts. You don't need a batch file anymore to start more than one command.
To get this plugin visit: http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins/
Best Regards
Jens

I know that. You have not understood me well. Sorry for my poor english.
With versions of notepad++ <4.0, Notepad++ loaded last session only if you
didn't
load a file with command line.
And, if you loaded notepad++ with a file by the command line, only this file
was loaded, the last opened files weren't loaded.
I prefer this old behaviour, and you can't do this anymore with the new
version.
Ludo.

You can do this with Windows Explorer, by adding a file to the "new" menu which
appears anytime you right click the desktop.
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/shellnew.htm
Please, don't try to choke NP++ with unneccasery features which are better
implemented elsewhere.
