Yes, im sure this has been asked before, and again, I would agree that this
would be a useful feature.

And why is this a problem?

It's just the way it highlights the brackets, what you type still ends up
exactly
the way you type it. It doesn't really matter that when your cursor is straight
after a parentheses it looks as if it's before the parentheses, anyone will
soon figure that out.

Thanks for your reply. But as I mentioned in my post, I've already subclassed
Notepad++ and successfully sniffer for copy and paste messages. Just couldn't
receive the accelerator keys of Ctrl+C/X messages even though msdn says that
accelerator keys are also translated to WM_COMMAND.

Anyway, I manage to workaround by subclassing both scintilla windows and
catching
WM_KEYDOWN for Ctrl+C/X. Here is the final version

Hi
For the syntax coloration, the quotes cancel the other styles (keyword etc.)
I just wanna know if it's possible to define a style priority. For example,
SET is a keyword and keywords are red. When there is a quote ("........"), the
background is blue. Is it possible that the sentence

"SET x..."

appers in blue background, but SET stays in red ?

Thanks, Graph05

PS : sorry if my english isn't very well but I'm french

OK, I must be stupid because I can't get SearchinFiles to do anything, so I
either must have the wring idea of what it is supposed to do, or I'm not doing
it right.

It seems to be a plugin that searches for text within files on the hard drive
- OK? A shame the dialog isn't amodal...

System is Windows 2000 SP4.

I enter the word I want it to find, say "family".
I enter a filetype, say "*.*"
I enter the folder, say F:\Temporary\TEMP
"Whole word" selected and hit OK and nothing appears. There are files in that
folder that do contain the word. I've tried several other examples. The files
are sitting in Notepad++ so I can see them.

Nothing ever appears in the results window.

So, what am I doing wrong?

Mark

I (the initiator of this thread) have now tested my bug on a different pc. There
it doesn't appear, so it seems to be a problem of my notebook. Maybe the old
version was not replaced correct by install. I will reinstall the application
and i hope it will be repaired.

I cannot create the bug on >2MB .sql files, the other person mentioned.

Thanks for your support.

I'd like a shortcut to switch between tabs without the tab dialog popping up,
because it would be better for macros for multiple files.

Hi
It's between quotes, so it's normal that the text isn't colored like xhtml ....
I've got a problem like that one with a personnal language, and I know it's
irritating :(

Previously had v3.x installed (not sure, maybe v3.1). Installed v4.0.2 without
uninstalling v3.x. Now, whenever prog is opened, an error message appears.
Window title is "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins\NppInsertPlugin.dll".

Message is:
Missing "messageProc" function

This plugin is not compatible with current version of Notepad++.
Remove this plugin from the plugins directory if you don't want to see this
message on the next launch time.

I can click the OK button which allows prog to open, and it functions
appropriately.
However, if I remove NppInsertPlugin.dll from the Notepad++\plugins directory,
the prog opens without the error message. Is this file necessary, or has it
been done away with since the version I was using?
