Hi all,
I decided to switch to Notepad++ finally, but I'm looking for a feature here.
Is it possible standard or with some plugin to automatically make links of
emails
and urls when I open a textfile?
It would be nice to have them clickable immediately when reading a textfile.

Hello,
I just installed the latest version on Notepad++. It fails to launch when I
edit a file, say a *.txt file, and several error messages are displayed:
Load langs.xml failed!
Scintilla error: can not load the dynamic library
106901: Scintilla.init failed!
I used the executable version of the download to install Notepad++ and assumed
that all the necessary components to run it were installed; apparently not.
What am I missing here in the install?

You could try opening a second instance of the program for some of the files.

line option to do this.

Just tried it again, subclassing the two scintila handles and listening for
WM_CUT/COPY. Unfortunately it doesn't seemed to work as well. Using Microsoft
Spy++, (Microsoft) Notepad receives the WM_COPY/CUT/PASTE for Ctrl+C/X/V, while
Notepad++ (using all child/parent/same thread/same process windows settings)
doesn't. Seems like they're not generated at all in Npp?

Question, Is the group intrested in including thier program in a portable app
program??? The reason I am asking is that its a pain to have to goto the folder
on my USB to launch the program. Even though I like the program for web editing
and java programming. I was introduced to http://portableapps.com/development
programs by my college teacher and now addicted to the programs and thought
that it would be great if you program was also included in the group of programs
on their site.

You can use the comment/uncomment function
You can make a rectangular selection by maintaining the alt key when doing
selection,
but it is helpful only for delete. Column mode of np++ is not unfortunately
as helpful than in ultraedit

Isn't there a plug in that allows me to pick a color through a normal color
picker and then it would generate its HEX that could be used in HTML and CSS??

My suggestion was not to sniffer the WM_COPY, WM_CUT and WM_PASTE message, you
should sniffer the messages IDM_EDIT_CUT, IDM_EDIT_COPY and IDM_EDIT_PASTE
messages
of Notepad.

Whenever anything is selected on a line, pressing the TAB key will _always_
indent the line. This is annoying to me, especially when I want to replace
in-line
spaces by tabs.
Could you please disinguish between a selection that contains the start of the
line, or starts in the white space before any character, and a simple selection
of any text (or spaces, as in my case) after or starting from the first
character
and ending on the same line?
Whenever there is an End-Of-Line in the selection, it's fine with me if all
lines are indented.
