I right-clicked on a 700 MB ZIP archive today intending to select 7-Zip from
the context menu. Unfortunately I mis-pointed and selected edit with Notepadd++
instead. Could Notepad++ add some routines that will stop loading the file at
a certain point and say: "This file is taking a long time to load. Do you still
want to continue?" or something similar.

At first sight I was exited about Notepad++ until I this error message poped
up. I'm not gonna type it because I do not want to misuse the name of our Lord.
I couldn't believe it until I searched the code and found the same word in the
file winmain.cpp at line 283.
It seems that the developer of this program does not have any repect fpr other
people by placing this kind of error messages in his code.
My advise and prayer for you: remove this God lastering text and write normal
code as a professional developer. This way you may get some support for you
work.

You can use NppExec for this task.
You can find this plugin here: sourceforge.net >> projects >> Notepad++
Plugins.
How to install: place NppExec.dll to your notepad++'s plugins folder, restart
notepad++.
Call NppExec's dialog (pressing F6 by default) and type this command:
npp_run "C:\Program Files\WinMerge\winmerge.exe" "$(#1)" "$(#2)"
then save it as, for example, "WinMerge" (your script name).
I suppose your winmerge.exe is located in "C:\Program Files\WinMerge".
You can specify this command without npp_run. In such case (without npp_run)
NppExec will wait until winmerge.exe returns.

Otherwise, you must know that any kind of knowledge (especially from Internet
i.e. from PC) is sinful, just faith is clear. So uninstall all sinfull programs
from your sinfull PC, turn it off and never turn it on again!

Is possible to spec a User Defined language similar to C++, starting from the
c++ highlights?
My problem is with Folding, because the c++ (and my language) I don't need to
use the { } inside an if or while when the code is only one row.
Because isn't possible to associate an open folder with a close floder...my
folding result very ridiculous :)

I working with ABAP (SAP shit) and there is comments starting with *
It is stupid but this is comments only at the begin of line.
Problem is with * at all as comment symbol. I think this is special character
for Notepad Plus and can't be used as comment symbol.
Any ideas?

it seems you need NppExec v. 0.2beta3 (not implemented yet) :-)
Currently // means a comment, and all the text after // is ignored. So
additional
check for :// is needed.
Or there can be another solution: change // to ## for the comments.
You can do it manually:
1) close Notepad++
2) open NppExec.dll in any HEX-editor (not inside Notepad++). For example, you
can use HT editor (search for it on sourceforge.net)
3) go to offset 0x1929C
4) you will see this data: 2F 2F 00 00
5) change it to: 23 23 00 00
In short, these actions change // to ## for the plugin.
After you do it, // will no more be a comment, ## will be a comment instead.
