I don't think this is currently possible. If no one else can tell you, you
might add a feature request (see the Tracker menu on this page) to add it.
To register for login, I think you need to click the "Create account" link in
the upper right. --Joel

I see you are registered now. I don't think there's a way at the moment, but
you can always request a feature enhancement... --Joel

'Tisn't easy.
For blank line removal, see the menuitem "TextFX > TextFx Edit > Delete blank
lines". You'll need to select the lines containing the blank lines.
With 4.1.2 you can go to the website by clicking the "?" menu and selecting
"Notepad++ Home". Otherwise, click here:
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm
Then use the pop-out menu on the left, hover over the F.A.Q. line, then select
"Newline - Find & Replace FAQ" entry. --Joel

You may want to try the SearchInFiles plug-in:

I was able to reproduce the error and released new versions of LightExplorer
and SearchInFiles plug-ins. Both of them allow the HexPlugin to work now. You
may update at:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927
Thank you.

It's doing what it is supposed to do. The line-wrap feature is displaying the
whole _single_ line in a form for easy viewing. The indentation is on the
_single_
line.
If you want, you can make it multiple lines with one of the built-in TextFX
tools (thanks, Chris Severance!), "TextFX > TextFX Edit > ReWrap text to
(Clipboard
or 72) width".
If you want to do that kind of word processing without reflowing the lines with
physical newlines, consider a word processor. A decent open source version
can be found at <shameless plug> http://www.openoffice.org/ </shameless plug>
and it can do what you want. --Joel

Well, it's normal in that Notepad++ doesn't currently add extensions if
extensions
don't already exist.
I'm in the minority on this; while I see value in what most others want, I hated
how regular Notepad would destroy my extension by always appending ".txt" if
I did not explicitly select "All Files".
Maybe there's some smart way to do this, and maybe it will be added in a future
version... --Joel

See also "Feature Request: Delete current line shortcut":
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4305799
SHIFT+DEL is good-old-days cut behavior. It still works that way. Perhaps that
is why you can't set that as a shortcut.
I also don't experience much problems using the most recent version of NP++.
Well DONe!

If you have possible gaps in your function declaration use this expression [
\t]* for correct recognition on possible positions. E.g.:
[ \t]*\(.*\)[ \t]*:.*
Best Regards

No, it depends on NppSearchInFiles.dll.

Notepad++'s file association function doesn't seem to work in Vista Home Premium
(32bit). Any solutions?

Notepad, Wordpad (AKA Write) and Notepad++ all have trouble with Send To and
multiple file selection.
You can get it to work if there are no files already loaded in Notepad++. This
means 1) turn off "Remember the current session for next launch" on the MISC
tab of the Preferences dialog, and 2) close any open files if you have Notepad++
already running.
Or you can get it to work (maybe) by editing the shortcut in the Send To
subdirectory. Add the name of a small text file that you don't mind opening
all the time, enclosing the name in quotes. For example, the shortcut's target
field could be:
"C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "C:\dummy.txt"
Maybe you could experiment on getting this to work without the file
reference...
If you have the Edit with Notepad++ pop-up menuitem on the right-click context
menu, you might be able to use that instead. It has worked for me this way.
That menuitem is an installation option, in case you don't have it. --Joel

SCitE has a menu item called "Save a Copy..." in menu "File" which saves a copy
of the current file but keeps the original file open in the editor.
This comes in handy sometimes, could this be added in Notepad++ (my favourite
editor, btw) too ?
Thanks for this great editor :-)
