These macros I made with the keys Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab. BUT this worked
fine in version 3.8, but now there is a menu added.
Now I changed to using the key Ctrl-Tab, which works quite like Alt-Tab does
whitin Windows.

Just put the "userDefineLang.xml" in the folder where the configuration files
are for your computer account (this is not where the notepad program is stored).
For mine, it is C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application
Data\Notepad++
.
There is one done already for coldfusion which you can download from
sourceforge.
I have already created one, both for "cfm" and "cfc" with ".cfm" and ".cfc"
extensions.

Here's the FAQ on it:
How can I share MY DEFINED LANGUAGE (or my syntax highlighting) with the
others?
Follow the instructions below :
1. Type %APPDATA%\Notepad++ in Run box, then Enter, there'll be a opened
folder appears.
2. In the opened window, you'll found out a file named userDefineLang.xml.
Copy it.
3. Do the same procedure 1. to the PC destination. Copy the
userDefineLang.xml
into the opened folder.
4. Relaunch Notepad++ from the destination PC et voila.
For sharing the syntax highlighting, follow the same procedure but replace
userDefineLang.xml by stylers.xml.

I am so glad to see that Windows now has a useful editor for free. Notepad++
being really free is even better. Thanks a lot!
Notepad++ seems to go against the standard by using variable width fonts for
comments in many programming languages. I only see a very tiring way to change
that manually. Is there a quick solution to make all languages fixed-width font
same size only?

I don't think this will be quick, Martin, but it should be faster than the
Styler
Configurator approach:
Make a backup of stylers.xml in your %APPDATA%\Notepad++ directory if it is
there, or in your Notepad++ installation directory.
Open Notepad++, and then navigate to the directory you first found stylers.xml,
and open it.
Replace (ctrl-H) all occurrences of
"Comic Sans MS"
with
""
(include the doublequotes both times), and replace all occurrences of
fontsize="8"
with
fontsize=""
Then save the file. Close the edit session for the file (File > Close), then
close Notepad++. (Do not open the Styler Configurator during this process!)
>From now on, comments will use the Default Style font and size you have set
for the Global Styles setting unless you override them for specific languages.
Some comment types will still have bold selected (fontStyle="1" instead of "0"),
but you can change that as well if you wish with the same approach. --Joel

In Notepad++ version 4.1.2 clickable URLs are disabled by default, I believe.
There is a checkbox called "Enable" in the Clickable Link Setting groupbox on
the MISC tab of the Preferences dialog to turn it on if it is desired. --Joel
