I would like to see this implimented as well. You have no idea how many times
I would love to be able to SET the default extension and filetype in options,
but alas, I cant. I even select NORMAL TEXT FILE from the drop down list and
no .txt is added. I pray that the developer adds this to Notepad++. It is much
needed.

Hi Jens,
I have installed the last version of notepadd++ (4.1.2) and install the explorer
plugin (v1.3) but some weird bug is in it...
When I have notepad open for a while the icons of the files in de filelist
(below
the directory list) are changing in the most weird icons, and all files have
another icon... the program is working but it looks weird.
And is it possible to add a new feature in the next update of notepad? I'm
missing
automatic tabs:
if(something == "some")
{
echo "before this echo";
}

Hello Notepad user,
I published now finally Hex-Editor v0.8.3 and Explorer v1.4.
Please download on:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins/
Note: Explorer can cause a crash on startup of Notepad. In this case go into
Application Data folder of Notepad and do a copy of "Favourties.dat". Edit the
file and add "Expand=0". Change it like this way ('->' means TAB):
[Folders]
Expand=0

-> Name=Notepad Projects
-> Expand=0
#LINK
-> Name=Explorer
-> Link=D:\NppPlugins\Explorer

If to many keywords are added to the userDefineLang.xml, the editor crashes
on initialization.

Its not the keywords that crashes the editor. If font and font size are not
defined for a keyword style, the editor crashes at start.
I can load the keywords now, after defining font og font size.

I can suggest to play with Find dialog of Notepad to get a feeling how to work
with Scintilla Regular Expressions. Function List works similar.
