Function List works as before, but I will implement an interface for Spell
Checker.
When you check files, you can check only commets or text blocks. Therefore I
will add in Spell Checker an check box.

Best Regards
Jens

You can generate an own icon bitmap for every language. Create with graphic
program like gimp a bitmap which is in hight 16px by width 16px by amount of
icons.

Best Regards
Jens

Thank you Jens. That wasn't the answer I wanted to hear but it's good to know
the answer.

I was looking for something like a menu item, under "view" for example, that
would allow you to choose to display the highlighting or not without changing
the style.

If these posts are read for feature requests then please consider this a feature
request.
Thanks,
Bob

However it will be good to compare two scripts for example in the editor
environment.
Something like this:

Is there a way to run dos commands in a window instead of full screen? Like
my debugger for example?

I love NotePad++ but I have to exit and use PFE when I want to print a file
because NP++ inserts extra space between lines of text and thus uses more paper
when printing. Could an option be added to compress the vertical spacing while
printing so that we would use less paper? I hope this will be a very popular
and environmentally friendly option.

If this has already been suggested, I apologize for not finding it in the
forum.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Don,
Not offended at all...and no I am not color-blind.

My reason for requesting this is that I like to align text, especially in
comments
for viewing on the unix systems where most of my edited files end up. It's
also nice when printing not only for the alignment but for ease of reading.
I do all my printing on black and white laser printers and the font differences
(including bolding) actually make it less readable to my eyes when you don't
have the color differences.

Most of the time I want the highlighting so I like the idea of a switch to turn
it off briefly while I write comments or check other text alignment. Depending
on how you prefer to program it, disabling highlihting for printing could be
accomplished by a switch in the preferences box or by disabling highlighting
on the screen then printing.

Also, I just want to say this is my favorite editor, including several that
I paid for. Thank You for all your work to make it so good!
Bob

You can already select text in column mode - select one corner then press alt
while you select the opposite corner of the block.

I agree with vor0nwe. His idea would allow Notepad++ to add the large array
of available diff and merge tools to its feature set, whole also being the
easiest
way to finally give users a highly requested feature.

I started using Notepad++ about two weeks ago and was instantly enamored with
its flexibility and features. I was looking around for a Diff plugin for
Notepad++,
and was shocked to find there was none. I was especially surprised because my
search turned up tons of users requesting it or lamenting its absence. A good
Diff tool is something that most coders (the target users for Notepad++) would
consider essential.

What I love about vor0nwe's idea is that it combines:
-minimal effort (just adding to the environmental variables in Run External
Tools)
-maximum result (you can use any diff or merge tool, and probably some other
types of tools i haven't thought of)

I'm surprised this didn't get any further discussion when it was first brought
up.
