Not totally sure if this is what you want, but you can currently use "wildcards"
in a search if you check the "Regular Expression" box. Using regex "." would
be a wild card - but only for a single digit. Adding a start to that -- ".*"
would extend that to mean, any character/any number of charaters.
For more into on regular expression, check this out. It's a good guide to get
you started with RegEx's.

Are you using control+H or control+R? I've had troubles with control+R if I
have the Selection option enabled.
What's your regex expression?

What do you mean by all over the place? Are you using a non-proportional font?
Have a look in Settings/Style Configurator.

It would be handy to have a flag to allow notepad++ to minimize on the last
document close.

Hi thanks for these new release, nevertheless it seems that there is no rules
defined. indeed my file FunctionListRules seems to contain anly <FunctionList
/>. Is it possible that you add some rules for example and to allow to easily
add other language looking at the first one.
Thanks

Hello steakhacher,
I am sorry, but could you have a look into your archive again. There is a XML
file. Filled with a lot of Function List Parsing Rules. Exchange it with the
current FunctionListRules.XML file.
Best Regards
Jens

Hi,
this isn't the first time something weird happen after changing a color in the
Styler, but this time it has gone out of scale.
I changed the color of the CSS directive, and now every file I see it's just
garbage. I tried going back to the original value, but it had no effect. If
I remove the file it works again, but hell, this customized style took me quite
some time and I really don't want to lose it, any suggestions?
Note: I would attach the XML file, but I see no way to do so.

try to make a binary file
=== Turbo C ++ 3.0 ==
BYTE randBuf[512];
int i=0;
for(i=0;i<512;i++){
rdnBuf[i] = i%255;
//rdnBuf[i] = (BYTE)((double)rand() / ((double)RAND_MAX + 1) * 255);
}
FILE *pFile;
pFile = fopen("A.bin","w");
fwrite(randBuf,sizeof(BYTE),512,pFile);
fclose(pFile);
=====================
ok ,then , open the file by notepad++ and to use hex editor to check the value
of the binary file
the value of 1st line is ....
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0d 0a ..............
The address 0x0A should be 0a... but it look like 0d?

I have the same problem.
I use quite a lot ASP files with jscript and Notepad++ implements a wrong syntax
coloring. Could there be two different file types: ASP (VBScript) and ASP
(JScript)?
Right now this last language doesn't get support from Notepad++.
Thanks.

sry
n this case, windows os = 0D 0A
i think windows auto convert the newline('\n')or 0x0A into 0x0D0A (it's EOL)
in text mode.

I've been trying to work with this error, and, to this point, I can't reproduce
it. One question: if you try to make the search using CTRL+F instead of ALT+Q
(the SearchInFiles plugin), do you get any matches?
You might also reach me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks.
