use npp for long time as favority editor.
how ever,there is some bugs.here is one.
when i open a xml file with a very large node,npp just stop responding.
the node contains base64 encoding chars of a JPG file.
there are about 200K chars in the node text.
sciTE open this xml file quickly,but with some displaying issue

Hello,
I have discovered Notepad++ a few days ago, and it feets perfectly my needs.
I have just a suggestion : it would be great if when I select a word and press
F3, it search for this word, without the need to display the search box.

In TotalCommander press Shift+F4(Create New File) rename as file.txt and open
in NPP.
Insert any text.Save File.
But file.txt have 0 byte.

Hi,
Firstly - just love this notepad thingy. Best ever.
I work in audio and I use cue sheets a lot for short run CD mastering as well
as archiving produced material on disk. If you've worked with cue sheets you'll
know how they can be pesky to deal with, especially when editing some else's
attempt that has lost part of it's formatting. Ideally it would be nice to
automate
this tedious editing task as much as poss.
Anyone here think it could be possible to create templates in Notepad ++ for
cue sheets - perhaps as a plugin with error check? (I can provide all the rule
sets.)

Hi Micka?l,
The F3 quick search is not defined by default, but you can configure your
Notepad++
to use it.
Go to the settings menu (in french "Param?trages"), and select the 3rd and
last item: "Shorcut mapper" ("Gestionnaire de raccourci" in french).
There in line 23 you should have the "next volatile search" (Hmm... That's
"Recherche
volatile suivante" in french) and change the key for F3.
The usage is simple, you select a word, hit F3 and Notepad will jump to the
next word occurrence in the file, if any of course (even looping back to the
begining, nice).
