Add one more keyword list to the syntax highlighting. Just one...

A text compare would be really useful, considering that's all some products do!
I'm trying this out from Edit Pad Lite. I think what I miss is the reopen
previous
document list.
I'll primarily use this for PL/SQL and SQL. I usually throw my SQL into TOAD,
format it, then bring it back in to NotePad++ to edit. It would proably be
beyond
the scope of Notepad++ to recognize and parse out and format some parts. What
I didn't see (maybe didn't see yet) was something that would add a carriage
return, say, before a FROM, WHERE or SELECT statement. Handy especially for
big queries.
I'm warming to Notepad++ as I figure it out more. Old (software tool) habits
are hard to break.

Hello,
First of all, I want to say that Notepad plus plus is a realy good software,
helps me a lot while coding my system. Many thanks!
The second thing is that I would like to ask from you to make NPP's text editor
to fully support the Hebrew language.
When I marking some text with the mouse in the text editor, the hebrew text
being inverted.
Moreover, it gets difficult when I'm trying to write Hebrew letters near the
English ones.
I hope I expressed myself properly and that I don't have some English grammar
mistakes etc.
Many thanks and keep the good job,
Lior Cohen.

I would find this a great feature. I haven't looked at the earlier postings
to learn the ins and outs.

Notepad++ doesn't change the modification date of a file, only the date of
accession.
This creates some problems when I want to use it with TortoiseSVN.

Hi, People!
(my English isn't so good, ok? :-))
Well, I don't know if this subject was discussed here before (I don't find it),
but I'm triyng move from UltraEdit to Notepad++ and I still have some doubts
about User Defined Languages.
How can I define a variable, in this case, a number (integer) in Folder Open
Keyword Settings?
For example, the argument I need be an Folder Open Keyword is "1:", instead
the single symbol ":".
Exist any argument wich do the Notepad++ understand the "1" is a numeric
variable
and could be vary?
Thanks,
M?rcio Massula Jr.

For example, I have this:
'some text here.'
'different text here.'
'again a different text here.'
etc
I want to replace it with:
"some text here."
"different text here."
"again a different text here."
but not manually.
Can you tell me if that's possible?
My mail is drgigguls<at>gmail<dot>com, but I'll also watch this forum.
Thanks!

Please extend the syntax highlighting of the PHP language.
Keywords: printf and probably many others are not highlighted in Notepad++.
The Backus Naur Form of the printf function is exactly the same as C/C++
printf.
Thanks.

In my case,the text file wrote "toolbarIcon.xml".
But i have to name the .xml file as "toolbarIcons.xml" to make it work.
FYI,
Sean Chen.

Hi!
Great job, thanks so far. There are two things I don't understand about the
parsing rules.
(1) I have got javascript functions in PHP/HTML just like
<?php
phpfunc1(..){...}
phpfunc2(..){...}
?>
HTMLblabla
<script type="text/javascript">
jsfunc1(..){...}
jsfunc2(..){...}
</script>
My idea was to create three rules for PHP:
#1 JS: FUNCBEGIN: <script type="text/javascript">, FUNCEND </script>
#2 JS_FUNCTION: SUBGROUP of JS, FUNCBEGIN: function, FUNCEND blabla (like
your parsing rule FUNCTION for PHP)
#3 FUNCTION: your parsing rule
Now I'm getting all functions (phpfunc1,phpfunc2,jsfunc1,jsfunc2) twice. OK,
so you're parsing the whole text with every rule, all stuff matching the rule
can be found in the list. But removing rule #3 the result is still all
functions.
I thought in this case "Subgroup of" means match rule #1 AND (inside body of
#1) rule #2, so that phpfunc1/2 do not match.
(2) Let's stay with PHP. A single line comment is defined by "//". But
a comment
// }
without matching bracket will confuse FunctionList and remove some functions
below that point of the script from the list. Everything after (between) comment
delimiter(s) should be ignored while parsing!
Thanks and Greeting,
AR
