Yes. Most OS icons are OK now but not all.

If Favorites is on top (as opposed to the Explorer or Light Explorer tab) when
NPP starts up two of the Folder icons in Favorites [Folders] section are
consistently
shown as green Up arrows (arrow starts at right and bends up 90 degrees). There
are two other folders which have my own icons (ico file in a subfolder of My
Documents and set in the desktop.ini file for that folder). These are blank
- nothing shows for the icon. However, a window refresh draws them in, so if
another window covers NPP and NPP then comes on top, the icons are drawn
correctly.
If another window or dialog covers part of NPP so that two of the incorrect
icons are covered and then exposed, the window redraw only redraws thos two
icons (as you would expect).
Going to the Explorer or Light Explorer tab and coming back to Favourites also
redraws the icons correctly.

Also, sSelecting any File in Favorites [Files] section changes the icon to a
hand icon (blue sleeve hand coming in from left), the sort that sits under a
drive icon in shared networked drives. Opened Favourite Files are
not underlined.

LightExplorer doesn't have these redraw problems and shows the correct icons
first time, especially those folder that have my own icons.

Perhaps the Favorites tab isn't given enough time to get the icons before the
first redraw and so requires a second redraw to get them?

Hope this helps.

MarkB

I'm not having that problem with Explorer 1.5 nor Light Explorer under Win2K.

Hi,

I'd also appreciate if the Ctrl+F3-Search would remember what to search.

And I suppose, steakhacher did misunderstand the question.

Let me explain it:
If I want to search all appearances of e.g. "$userdata" I mark it and use
Ctrl+F3.
Notepad++ then finds the next appearance of $userdata.
Them I go to the line above to this line with $userdata do edit my code.
After having edited my code I want to search for the next appearance of
$userdata.
How to do it without going back to the place where it was found last in order
to mark it to bo able to perform the Ctrl+F3-Search once more?

I'd see 2 ways to do it:
1.
F3 always repeats the last search irrespective of its kind - the Ctrl+F or the
Ctrl+F3 and not only the last Ctrl-F-Search (like e.g. wscite does)
or
2.
there is another shortkey to perform the last Ctrl+F3-Search even if the last
searched text isn't marked.
It could be Ctrl+F3 too, because now it is unused if there is no marked text.
This would be a smart solution: if there is marked text, Ctrl+F3 searches for
the next appearance of the marked text and if there is no marked text, Ctrl+F3
searches for the text beeing marked last.

Do you see any chance to get this feature?

Stanley

Yes it could be be good idea.

You could also add the explorer plugin which add an explorer and the possibility
to focus explorer on the file directory.
You can also build a command with done what you want by executing a batch

Hi there,

It's been over a year of using npp. It's great. However, I find my suggestion
isn't being cared by anyone, or let me know if it's only with me happening this
problem.

Npp isn't finding it's proper place for horizontal (bottom) scrollbar. Scroll
right this scroll bar and minimize it (notice the position of this scroll bar).
And then open up it again (maximize). Can you see the position of the scroller
bar at the same place ? In mine, it goes to the left most corner. This may be
less noticing bug, but in fact, is a big trouble for me like programmer whose
code crosses beyond the screen and have to scroll right several times. Please
note this. And yeah, one more thing... can you guys make record of atleast
current
document variables so that next time I use same variable will show up in hints
just like the function list pops up.

Thankx
Rubin Shrestha

Guys,

it is time you try the excellent plugin from DV_ called NppExec. It has the
big advantage to execute what ever script, and batch from Npp and to give the
console output in a Npp Window. For the one using gcc, you can even double click
on the errors and warnings and it opens the file on the proper line.... The
next version of that plugin will even give you the capacity to define your own
colorization.

I have got the same problem bahvior on windows vista, some names become bold.
After a refresh I click on a filename and all become bold and after when I click
on file name, the selected filename become normal.
On windows vista, the redraw seems to be slow even if my vista PC is powerful,
it should be a problem because other plugin like ligth explorer have not this
problem.

Neverthelsee thank you for your job

I want to add a new Language, but I need a bit more control over the tab stops.
I think I understand the controls for the colors for words. It would be nice
if there was a way to control the statement syntax, so if you try to use words
that are not in the correct order or words that are not a part of the syntax,
it would let you know.

I do love NotePad++!! It a great edited for programmers. I know there has
been a lot of though and work put into it and I want everyone to know what a
great program it is.

I am really confused due to much types of licenses. I have got questions:

GPL and LGPL(all versions for both) - Is this term true?

1)If I only user of software under these licenses(in each version)every works,
arts, deals, masterpices, that I

create by this whole aplication are still my own and GPL and LGPL don't impact
to these(no changes of licenses of

these, no request to share these).

e.g. d - if I use this program, all my programs(sources)on my system are still
mine(no share, no referency with GPL and LGPL license - is it out of scope?).

2)Is there any limitation of use(interaction with whole aplication)to create
own commercial works?
3)Are there any commercial restrictions?

Jakub Maly
