May be somebody know that exists old solution (2002 year) of integration
scintilla
and ruby. I contact with author and got info that this project does not
supported.

I try to integrate it as NPP plugin which can used for creating external scripts
for automating NPP and I got success. I have examples of working scripts in
ruby that can manage the notepad++ windows.
I plan to extend this solution and distribute it as soon as possible.

this implementation is already prepared for the next version of NppExec.
(I don't know when it will be released, but the code has been proposed by Geert
vancompernolle
to vitalyi, some rework are still ongoing)

yeah i have also reduced the font size of global styles' brace highlight style
to 10, but there is still a huge discrepancy when viewing an nfo file in
notepad++
compared with notepad using Terminal font. for now i have make an exception
to open .nfo files with original notepad until this line spacing is corrected.

apparently you can adjust the global styles' brace highlight style font size
to smallest value. this helps a bit, but there is still a huge discrepancy
between viewing the nfo file in notepad++ and in notepad with Terminal font.
for now i have make an exception to open .nfo files with original notepad until
this line spacing bug/nonfeature is corrected.

Have you tried active mode connection? You seem to be behind NAT and some
routers
do support active FTP connections, maybe thats why the other tools work. The
plugin relies on Winsock to do the connection so it should be the same on all
programs, unless they use some tricks.
If active doesnt work either, i'd be interested for a testing account. It'll
help development too a little, as I can get better compatibility if I can test
on more servers.

Notepad++ v4.3 fixed bugs and added features (from v4.2.2) :
1. Fix the crash bug due to the corrupted configuration file (config.xml and
session.xml).
2. Fix the crash bug while the shortcut command is absent in shortcut.xml.
3. Fix the file status auto-detection bug : a unwanted selection after a
pop-up
dialog.
4. Enhance Styler Configurator : the visual effect is updated immediately while
the setting is changing.
5. Add Global override feature (in Styler Configurator).
6. Fix the bold/italic/underline refresh problem in Stylers Configurator for
Scintilla component.

Can we have a safe-mode command-line option and create a shortcut to it so we
can load notepad++ with no plugins to see what the real problem is? I hate to
go to the plugin directory and delete the files everytime something screws up.

Hey,
I was wondering how hard would it be to program (I havnt seen one around yet)
a plugin for NP++ to auto change permissions when you create files. Im using
NP++ at my university to edit my java and C/C++ files, but when I save them
windows will automaticly give everyone read permissions. Whereas if we made
the file from connected to unix account via putty, its automaticly set to not
be readable by all.
Hope im clear about what I actualy need.
