Is it possible to add the "Reindent C++ code" from TextFX > TextFX Edit into
the right-click context menu?

I tried it myself with the context menu help on the N++ website, but this is
way over my head and I have no idea how to make it work and if it's at
all possible.

I don't have any problems with passive or active FTP connections with other
FTP software and v0.9.1.2.
I have a firewall in my router and a software one (Comodo). The router firewall
is strictly stateful inspection and there are no rules to stand in the way.
The Comodo firewall asks me for permission for N++ to act as a server and listen
and receive on certain TCP ports which I grant. With passive mode, of course,
my normal rules to allow any TCP out connection is all that is required (and
UDP port 53).

Turned off firewall, still can't get folder details in passive or active mode.
No, I'm convinced it's not the firewalls.

Understand about the folder details and wanting to get to the bottom of the
crashes etc. It would be a nice addition some time, no hurry.

I'm having problems connecting to the CVS folder to get the new build at the
moment. Can't get onto http://npp-plugins.cvs.sourceforge.net.
I'll get back to you when I get the new version.

One thing I do like is that there are far less crashes when I close N++. Don't
know what you did but it is better in that respect.

Mark B

I work helpdesk support and when we get really busy I like to type my notes
in notepad++ instead of using our ticketing system (which is slow). Then I
go back and enter them as tickets when I get time.

Is there a plugin that will timestamp each line entry (say when I press
<enter>)?

Hi
I try do compare two files, but i don't know how :(.
I'd opened its in two n++ panels, clicked compare - nothing, pressed alt+d -
nothing, no messages, no compare, no information.
What i can do to compare text files, i've got n++ v.4.3, and 1.1 plugin.

nevermind stupid question, they are in \PowerEditor\src\ScitillaComponent.

I did notice though that the \PowerEditor\src\font directory is not included
with the source files for 4.3. This caused error thrown in Visual Studio 7:

error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Post-Build
Event..."

the problem was that a batch file temporarily is created to copy over
config.xml,
langs.xml, etc. as well as LINEDRAW.TTF from the "src" directory to the "bin"
directory. It was looking for /src/font/LINEDRAW.TTF. After copying over that
folder (from version 4.2.1 of the source files) to my 4.3 src directory,
everything
worked.

the batch file in question you'll see in BuildLog.html if there is an error,
it is run as a post build event once the build is complete in Visual Studio.

Hello,

Can you add "Hide Lines" in "Shortcut mapper"(?), please.
I will set something like "Ctrl+ H" to this.

Thanks for this nice SW.

Best Wishes,
  Eugene

The Ctrl+R find tool will search and replace NUL characters. Use Ctrl-Shift-2
or Ctrl-Shift-@ to put them in.

If you have enabled TextFX Viz Capture Keyboard Ctrl-C,X,V then various Viz
settings will alter Ctrl+V pasted text including changing line breaks to match
the style for the current document. None should add extra line breaks that
weren't
there before unless your source text is using CR or LF in an unexpected way.
To test this out select Edit Paste instead of Ctrl+V which bypasses TextFX
tools.

This is a warning for young players.

I downloaded 4.3 and stupidly extracted all the files into the same folder as
Notepad++. So the files in the plugins sub-directory were left over from the
previous version. This is a really bad thing; as soon as you type into Notepad++
it will crash. I realised my mistake and moved the various dlls and so on into
the sub-directories where they should have been and everything was good.

So just look out that you don't completely flatten the directory structure when
you're unpacking the zip archive.

Derek

The linker doesn't link multiple resource.obj files correctly. The Dev-C++
solution
was to make a master.rc that included all the others and that makes the
resources
work perfectly and as a side benefit they are a bit more compact too. I
duplicated
that for the MinGW Code::Blocks project. Other compilers do not have this
problem.
Your MinGW makefile should only have one .rc file in it.

I made Dev-C++ and Code::Blocks projects that will need some maintenance to
get them up to the current version which will allow you to produce working
versions
of Notepad++ in all the free compilers.

http://textfx.no-ip.com/textfx/

It will be down until for a few hours until I can go down and give the server
a swift kick.
