I love to use Notepad++, however to edit XML files (with DTD/Schema) i use
eclipse,
because it allows xml code completion.
So for example if i have user defined in DTD/Schema i could do
<u(ctrl+space and select user) (ctrl+space select firstname and enter the value
of it)
Id be mega cool if i could do that in Notepad++

Woops, I meant Control-F6, and Control-Shift-F6 for previous window.
NotePad++ Rocks! (apart from the Ctrl-F6 thingy :)

Hi
Sorry, but why you prefer CTRL+F6 instead of CTRL+TAB what is the difference.
You should do the change in shortcut mapper if you want.
About that Don it seems that there is no text name in French version ssociated
to ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab

Please add F6 for next window. Not the Ctrl-Tab style but actually next window.

In my opinion, if somebody types in an extension in the filename, then NPP
should
respect it and never change it, no matter the filter selection.
What if the user select a specific language type and then the save as pops up
with a different filter?
In my opinion the language type select you be predominant and force the
extension
if the user does not give one.
So in my opinion:
1) if the user specify an extension, it should always be respected
2) only if there is not extension, the check if the unsaved file has a language
selection, then use default extension for such language (or at least pick the
right filter)
3) if none of the above, then add the extension of the currently selected
filter
I think is more consistent with other power editors around.

This has come up before. I guess people assume they can't have a zero width
column because it becomes invisible at that width. Don, is it possible to make
it visible somehow?
I've added a note about zero width selections to the FAQ
at http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/FAQ .

I haven't had this problem, but I have no problem with your suggestion. Have
either of you tried control+tab or Window/Windows, to allow you to choose the
tab from a list instead of looking at the tabs?

"Trim trailing and save: Alt+Shift+S"
I went to add this to the shortcuts entry
at http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/page/diff/Keyboard+Shortcuts, but
someone's already done it! What is this, a race?
