I have recorded a few Macros... and assigned them hotkeys and saved them and
now i want to remove them, the problem is I dont see any option to remove a
macro. Am I blind?
I would also like to remove Run... commands I have saved.
Thanks in advance!

I am having trouble figuring out how to get notepad++ to compile my current
file with g++ that is installed under c:/mingw/bin using a simple hotkey or
toolbar button. Also Ideally I would like a compile and execute button to hit.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, this problem fixed. Thanx!
But the problem with switching between Tabs with Alt+arrow without showing menu
not fixed :(

Word count is one of the features I will be using most in Notepad++. Can you
tell me how to assign a shortcut key to this function? The shortcut mapper is
baffling: how am I supposed to know what to type in the text box for a name,
to map the function?
I have tried creating a macro using
start recording - selecting text - choosing TextFX/TextFX Tools/Word Count -
stop recording
but the macro doesn't seem to record and I can't play it back.
Any suggestions?
Zoe

I forgot something:
2. Double click any folder beside the root folder.
<addition>
Click on the root symbol (aka "/") and than "Refresh".
</addition>
- All folders from the root are displayed.

What is the definition of an Undo action?
I can't really work with this one:
I have a file containing a tabbed data table.
I generated new content for this file and copied the new table data from another
application.
I pasted this data in N++ to replace the data in the file as saved before.
I then removed the last couple of tabbed columns using CTRL+R and regular
expression.
Like always I try the regex for a couple of lines and then replace all/rest.
I saved the file.
I now wanted to Undo my remove action, because I want to store a variant of
the file with a couple of other columns removed. I wanted to use another regex
for this.
However, when I pressed CTRL+Z my file immediately had its original contents
back!
All my activities seemed to be stored as one (Undo) action.
Now I would expect N++ to at least distinguish between a paste action and a
replace action. That is, I should be able to at least go back to the situation
before replacing (removing last columns).
The funny thing is, when I do all these actions in a new file, it works as
expected.
I can Undo every single step, including each manual replacement for the first
lines.
Is there something (wrong) with opening a file and marking an Undo-event
(StartUndoAction or something like that)?

Perhaps this is a consequence of the above:
when I later returned to my changed file, I tried to Undo any actions to get
back to the last saved state. I couldn't do it. After pressing CTRL+Z for a
couple of times, nothing further happened. I looked in the menu and saw I
couldn't
Undo anymore, but my document of course wasn't the same as the file I saved
before.
It seems my unlimited Undo capability was lost somewhere...
I guess this may have something to do with a number of activities put together
to be one Undo action.

One more addition: I later did all again, in a later version of the same file.
Now replacing all contents and removing columns also worked as expected.
It seems, though, that there is _something_, some kind of action or activity,
that messed (messes) up the Undo actions history list. I know that previously
not always any StartUndoAction was matched with an EndUndoAction later, but
it seems there are scenarios where this still is not the case.

I Confirm this bug file local file system on XP:
- files that do not have the archive flag set are not shown (only void
directories)
Workaround is to set the flag a directory level and apply the changes to all
files/sub-dir

Hi
Thanks for the great job to make Notepad++ available to all of us! It is a piece
of amazingly convenient software.
One question here:
Does Notepad++ support Simplified Chinese to Traditional Chinese conversion?
It'd be nice to have such a feature.
Regards,
Jonathan

I'm slowly trying out other editors as my favorite (Crimson Editor), I am truely
convinced, is never getting a newer version. :)
With that said, I have been giving NPP an honest shot, but I cannot seem to
find a "Projects" section where I can have a series of files pertaining to the
current project I am working on. Is this functionality just not in NPP, or
is there a plugin that provides it? Other than that, I'm fairly happy with it.
Also, I'll throw it in as I saw another user request it. Having a TODO list
with checkboxes for completed tasks for a project would be FANTASTIC! I have
yet to see any other OSS/Freeware editor that provides such functionality.
Thank you!
