Yes, that's how it is supposed to work. A User Defined Language has no other
Styles than the ones defined in the Dialog. So there is on need or way to set
these in the Styler Configurator. The built in languages use a slightly
different
approach than the UDL's.

Just let the user decide Don, put in an option to let the user choose how the
function should behave.
You're never going to please everyone as this small sample already shows. More
coding for you but at least we'll all be happy :-))

You should read carefully my first post. There you can see that you should copy
the file into the "Notepad++ plugins configuration folder". If there is no
config
folder in the plugin folder of Notepad++ open the
$APPDATA$\Notepad++\plugins\config\
folder and copy the file therein.
Best Regards
Jens

> I am not sure as some of the suggestions may already exist.
Didn't you check this by searching the very same forum first?
> Have a Project
Is that important? Gee, you might have missed an earlier discussion about this.
Maybe you can think of some reasons why somebody would _not_ want to have that
in an editor...
I suppose, if you want to buy a vehicle to move from A to B, you don't end up
having a truck, if you have no load to move. I guess this is because, before
you buy, you get to know what kind of vehicles there are. Perhaps you should
check out the sites mentioned in the About screen of (again) the forum(s).
> Not so important:
Your message.
> Thank you
You're welcome. I wish you much joy finding and using an application or tool
that does suit your purposes.

I have sent to Don a source code modification that should fix this problem.
He may include it, or something like it, with the next version.
Thank you for the detailed description on how to reproduce the problem.
Regards.
Greg

Recently I've been developing a plugin for Notepad++ that would include language
support for an implementation of Lua that is used in a game called Garry's Mod.
I've been able to register the lexer with Scintilla, inject a menu item to
select
the lexer into the language bar. Unfortunately, even though Scintilla supports
external lexers, Notepad++ does not (as far as I can tell) and because of this
there are many conflicts that change the language back to another language
randomly.
Are there any plans to integrate Scintilla's external lexer system into the
current Notepad++ system? If not, do you have a make-shift system that currently
works? The reason I ask is because I plan to give the language plugin to some
of my friends and I want forward compatibility with later versions of scintilla
and notepad++. Also, I'm willing to edit notepad++ to include the support myself
if I can, though I'm not familiar with the policy of getting changes integrated
into the release package.

If only one of the options is offered, I prefer that the comment and uncomment
commands be separate for the same reason others have cited.
