Hello everybody!
It is my first joining to the forum. I am an amateur VB.NET/C# programmer and
am newly introduced with NotePad++.
I tried to use Function List feature of NotePad++ but could not find how to
do it. Will I have to populate the Function List myself or it is done
automatically.
Please take me as a novice in explaining how to use this feature.

I'm not sure if this should be filed as a Notepad++ bug or a plugin bug, but

Firstly, happy new year to everyone :)
And a great thanks to Don for this so wonderful application !
I think I found a bug with the 'silent update'
- In the preferences, 'File Status Auto-Detection' part, 'Enable' and 'Update
silently' are both checked
- I open 2 files (A & B) with Notepad++
- I focus on file B (the edit cursor has a different position on the 2 files)
- I go on another application (or minimize NP++)
- I update file A with notepad (or file A is automatically updated by an
external
application)
- I come back to Notepad++
- --> the position of the edition cursor on file B (which has the focus) is
changed, and is placed at the same position it has on file A
- --> the name of the windows takes the name of the updated file (file A), and
not the focused one (file B)
It seems that Notepad considers the updated file as it has the focus.
If the file A has only 2 lines, the cursor on the file B will be set on the
1st or 2nd line
If the file A has more lines than file B and has the cursor on the last lines,
the cursor on file B will be set on the last line.
This bug is quite annoying when you open a (often updated) log file with NP++,
and try to edit another file on the same time.
Each time you 'Alt+Tab', you lost the focus on the other file.
I checked the previous version and this bug is here since v4.3
On v4.2.2, only the name of the window was changed, the cursor was staying at
its place.
Futhermore, is there a way to add a shortcut to manually update the current
doc, without any confirmation popup ?
It could avoid to check & refresh all the opened document when you open several
log files, that could take sometimes several seconds.
Hope I'm clear, if not, do not hesitate to ask me more information :)
