Just a question from my side: are the tabs already not XP style? What exactly
is meant with XP style tabs, other than what is currently in NPP?
Stacking tabs: I've asked this question too a while ago and I've tried it at
home myself to make stackable tabs, but it was not really that successful
(didn't
spent too much time on it to...).
However, there's a new DLL from Jens Lorens, called WindowManager (see the
plug-in
section for download). To me, that's a very good alternative for the stacked
tabs, even if it would be for the time being.
Would be nice anyhow to have stackable tabs, but maybe you can give the above
mentioned DLL also a try and see how it feels/fits your needs?
I'm anyhow enthusiast about it...
Best rgds,
--Geert

Is NppTools.dll also not part of the standard package? Don't see it in your
list of plugins...

"Notepad++ v4.7.4 fixed bugs and added features (from v4.7.4) :"
There is a little mistake. The changelog refer to which version? It can't be
4.7.4 (from 4.7.4).
Thanks in advance.

I found the .ini and the definitions are still there and working fine, but they
are not shown in the "Function List Parsing Rules"-dialog. Only "User Defined"
and some empty lines are shown in the drop-down list for selecting a language.
So if I want to change a definition, I have to edit the .ini manually.
Regards
Wolfgang

I'm joining these requests too. I would like the following features to
be implemented:
1."Search in Files" tab should remember "directory" from last sessions.
2. Do not clear previous search results before running a new search, instead
add popup menu item (on mouse right click) "clear search results".
I usually search many files (looking for function definitions) in a few
directories
and I need to keep search results from all searches.

in the cmd console window, if i do notepad++ somefile, it somehow doesn't open
somefile within my current directory, it looks for it in a completely different
directory in which i had previously opened files with notepad++. i know this
is wrong because no other program has ever done this.

You mean double click makes caption gray again. This is correct, because the
focus is lost after double click on an item. It switches back to the document.

Humm, I think you read me wrong. I use notepad++ otherwise i wouldn't be here.
I just asked for the best of two worlds. Besides i only bragged one single
feature
in the other editor which was that one. Why does my post seems like a negative
thing??
