I don't think the referenced page describes a way of doing what I want, which
is 'delete all lines that DO NOT contains a specific substring'. Is there a
way to do that?
I thought TextFX Viz tools would do it (as posted earlier in this thread) but
they don't seem to do what I expect from their description (ie., there's a bug
or I don't understand the tool).

Thanks much for NPP! I'm moving from the PC realm to Mac to cut my MS addiction,
and wanted an alternative to the code editor I'd used on Windows thus far. I
found NPP. After a week of self-teaching, NPP feels like an ol' friend! I look
forward to using it on my new Mac next month! (PS NO OOXML)

I downloaded the ruby blue style to apply to Notepad++, but how do I use it?
There is no documentation provided on how to do this. Please advise.

Hello !
Hope this can help you.
When you install N++, there is no userDefineLang.xml.
You have to define your own language.
1) Open User Define dialog box (21th icon in toolbar from left side)
2) Click on Create New..., give a name and then you will have a
userDefineLang.xml
file.
Regards
comiv

Hello,
you should tell us more than your CPU consumtions of Npp. What is about your
OS? Do you use some Windows Explorer extension programs like Tortoise? ETC.
It's too less information to find the issue! BTW: Do you have the problem also
when opening files via Total Commander?
I have no problems with all of the explorers. I can open files from everywhere
with every explorer without such a big CPU usage. I am using XP and I installed
Tortiose CVS. What's your OS?
I use Explorer with opened Favorites and Total Commander every day!
Another question: Do you use FunctionList?
BR
Jens

You need a font that has such characters, that is, a font with polytonic Greek.
In Notepad++, go to Settings, Style Configurator, Font style, and start
scrolling
until you find one. (The view in Notepad++ is updated in real time.)
If you don't have such fonts that work with Notepad++, here is one that does
and is free:
http://dejavu.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Download
Get one of these two:
dejavu-lgc-fonts-ttf-2.23.zip
dejavu-fonts-ttf-2.23.zip
The first one has just Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic. The second supportes some
other scripts as well.
Greetings,
Demetris

Then look for similar reports and an explanation on one of (the other) fora.

BTW: How about using MACRO?
- Search for your word "AB" in find window - now it is available via F3.
- Go to top of document again.
- Start a record:
o Press F3
o Press CTRL+L
o Stop record
Now do start a marcro playback until documents end.
Best Regards
Jens

again:
this is normal for SQL!
"#" is the starting character for SQL so this will never have the syntax
highlighting!
