I enabled the 'autoclose {([brace' feature, but it doesn't work when i'm editing
python codes.
Although python doesn't use braces for nesting, braces are used for its *lovely*
{([data types])}.

Hi!
Ok, now you told what you have and didn't have installed but can you tell us:
- Do you have the problem when you open local files with Total Commander?
- Do you have the problem only when you open FTP files with Total Commander?
- Do you have the problem when you only work with (Light-)Explorer when work
with local files?
- Do you have the problem wehn you work with FTP plugin intead of Total
Commander's
FTP?

Is that your doing to produce the CPU consumption?
One hint:
In Explorer plugin the CPU consumption on switching between plugins increases
with the nested deep level of tree and by big amount of opened knots! You can
reduce the consumption by disabling the 'Automatic update' feature in options
and by closing some open knots.

so i was very happy to see NPP offering this
the translations look good so far
but the right to left controls are not detected or implemented properly
please make a note here or somewhere if you are fixing, so i can test
or make a beta strictly for testing Language environment things and if it
matures
enough you will add it
im sure many will help it to mature even more then.

There is no need to use a difficult method with the Hex Editor at all.
If you want to keep blank lines, simply replace them first by some unique text.
Use advanced Find/Replace (CTRL+R is more clear than ^R for someone who has
no clue).
In the Find field type CTRL+M twice.
In the Replace field type CTRL+M, then some specific identifier like
#blank-line#
and then CTRL+M again.
Replace all occurrences.
No remove all lines using a regular expression as explained before.
Then, finally, restore all special lines to blank lines again.
In advanced Find/Replace, turn off regular expressions.
Fill the Find field with the Replace field of the action above.
Fill the Replace field with typing CTRL+M twice.
Replace all occurrences.
This also avoids the risk of removing !'s in front of lines, that were already
there before the "magic replacement trick".

I deal with a number of XML files not all of which end in .xml (e.g. .xhtml
.svg, .xsd etc).
How do I set a given file ending so that it opens as if if were ending with
.xml? i.e. with all the xml formatting/highlighting etc?

Typing a unicode character such as the epsilon ε (?) using the
Alt+'+'+'03B3'
gives an equivalent letter or a question mark '?' but pasting the copied char
from another place, it is ok.
The document is in utf-8.
Per information, using the Alt+... into the search dialog for instance,
it works.
Does someone know where is my mistake?
How to type in any unicode character using its hexadecimal value?

Hi Everyone,
I've converted from TextPad, and one of the things I miss most is that
TextPad always saved the last few find and replace criteria. This is
important because I frequently come up with rather complicated regular
expressions, which I may reuse every once in a while. With Notepad++ I have
to always remember to copy-paste these to a separate file so they are not
lost.
Could someone please make this tiny change for me?
