The New Version reboot my PC (Win XP SP2), reinstall NP++ 4.8 black screan and
reeboot again, when I Try to open reboot I Have Win XP.

I jsut remembered there was something about manifest files and BSoDs in Windows
XP. Though I dont think the one with Notepad++ should cause the crash (it hasnt
been changed since 4.2 afaik) it might be worth some investigation.
Is you windows fully updated?

Hello!
Notepad++, ver. 4.8.
I cannot write Polish special characters. In Polish systems we write them using
[right ALT]+letter. As far as I know, I cannot write them from ver. 4.8.
For example:
Using combination of [right ALT]+[n] I should have polish letter "?", but now
I have "D" (only in Notepad++). Using [right ALT]+[l] I should see "?", but
now I get "B". With other combinations I get strange characters instead of
Polish
characters which I had before (when I was using previous versions of Notepad++).
Without it, Notepad is useless for me. :(

The 2 bugs i have reportet the last time are in this version too. Maybe you
have forgot them, because the post is deleted. And i found 2 new bugs.
1. The foldering is not completely fixed. Set the language to HTML and write
in the first line "<html>", make a line break, delete the empty line and make
a new line break again.

2. If i'm trying to write a lot of in a new document, Notepad++ crashes.

3. If i'm srolling on any position of the document with the horizontal scrollbar
and then i'm switching to another document and switching back, the scrollbar
hasn't note the old position and is at the beginning of the document.
4. If i'm searhing a word, which is in left of the scrollbar, the word is hidden
under the lineblock.

The rapidshare link does not funktion correctly. The "free" version just tells
you, that you have exeeded your download but do NOT download anything.

Me too. I am using 4.8. I did all the theme download steps. I do not see
View->Tool Bar.
Have recent versions moved the command. Changing settings for toolbar size
do not help either.

I've just downloaded the 4.8 version but I didn't find anything about this
feature
that I've asked sometimes ago.
I only want to know if you plan to add this feature in the next version(s) or

Using verbose backup on any local drive other than C: truncates the backup file
name. I've tried to save the backup with and without a custom backup directory,
it makes no difference. I have reinstalled the software and also used it on
two different computers. The behavior remains the same. Notice in the examples
below, the original file name of "test.txt" is missing from the verbose backup
where the original file is on any local drive other than C:. Verbose backup
files on network drives do NOT truncate the original file name.
Using: Notepad++ v4.7.5 or v4.8

Verbose backup of "C:\test.txt" (local drive) produces:
test.txt.2008-02-27_123158.bak
Verbose backup of "Z:\test.txt" (mapped network drive) produces:

No blue screens here but npp crashes every time I try and open a file with it.
I uninstalled and did a clean install but still npp crashed. The RC worked fine
for me with no probs.
Error message: Faulting application notepad++.exe, version 4.8.0.0, faulting
module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.3311, fault address 0x000369aa.
This using XP Home sP3 RC2
