The new version 4.8 have removed this from problem with my install of notepad
++ (Windows Vista Home Premium) hope it helps

For some reason Notepad++ sometimes starts printing completely wrong characters
when I type. For example when I type qwerty i get ??????. If I close
notepad++ and start it again, it is okay again. I normally use Normal text
mode.
I'm not sure, but I presume this behaviour is triggered somehow when I paste
text.
I use a clipboard organiser, M8 multi free clipboard.
Can anyone help?
It is starting to get so annoying I will have to stop using notepad++ if I can;t
get this sorted.

And I have a problem with Russian keyboard layout.
Can`t write russian chracters in version 4.8.x. with another language all work.
Russian characters viewing but don`t writing.

Bug: There are incorrect characters since 4.8.0 (in hungarian language). P,
q and other characters apperaring instead of ?, ?. 4.7.5 still works fine.

Thanks for the update, I'm still finding Notepad++ extrememly useful!
I have noticed a small issue - I use the program with the Crystal++ theme
package.
Now when I choose to have my toolbar with big icons (Settings > Preferences
> Global > Tool Bar > Big Icons) the program no longer draws the alternative
toolbar images correctly, resulting in a very low quality pixelated graphics.

Restart Notepad++, that should fix it :)
Restarting when changing toolbar usually works best.

You can set a proxy from a CMD prompt.
Change the DIR to: C:\Program Files\Notepad++\updater>
Then run: gup.exe -options

If I install Notepad++ for the first time and let the installer launch it, drag
and drop from Windows Explorer into Notepad++ does not work (nothing happens).
But if I then close Notepad++ and relaunch it, drag and drop seems to work fine.
This is all on Vista Ultimate.
