I confirm, in polish language only '?' is correct(right alt+o), the others
are incorrect e.g. '?','?','?','?','?'... all this characters with 'right
alt+l,x,z,a,e,c....'

No, I've not seen this. My Notepad++ has no shortage of cuts.

Update from myself:
All tests were carried out using Wine 0.9.53 and default install-options were
chosen (meaning I didn't check or uncheck anything during the installation of
N++)
Tabs worked up until NPP 4.7.5 meaning that release-wise, 4.8.1 indeed broke
this somewhat.
I hope that with this information in hand, you'll be able/willing to fix it
and perhaps consider Wine in future releases. By actively ensuring compatibility
with Wine (and stating this on the website!) you could increase your userbase
somewhat more as Linux-users would be more likely to use NPP then which they
may refrain from doing now over fear of NPP breaking in Wine later on (just
like this tab/toolbar issue).
Hope you guys will consider fixing it and supporting Wine :)

Is there a way to search for a filename when inside np++? Or do I have to use
Windows search?

I had older version and installed newer 4.8.1 version yesterday, both were zip
executable (not install) on WindowsXP using AMD laptop with plenty of power.
The "find" is working fine, but the "replace" is no longer working. The
"replace
all" does not work either, it says 0 tokens found when "find" and my common
sense indicates plenty of occurances that should be replaced. Then I tried
to go back to earlier version of software thinking it's a bug with new release.
So deleted the 4.8.1 files. Downloaded and installed 4.7.5 version and
unzipped
that into directory. Tried to run and yet again the "replace" is not working.
What am I doing wrong? Is this just my computer, if so then what is required
software wise on my computer to get this to work again?

Is there any way of accesing an plugin trough a macro. I ask this for reason
I don't want to get in writing my own plugin since NPPTextFX does the most I
want but...
I want to make a macro that: folds a current section - step to begining of that
section - goes to home (cursor pos) - (asumming there is a brace) unfold the
section - go to (or mark) matching brace
All can be done but only I don't know how to acces "Quick -> Find matching
{([<Brace>])}"
e.g. I need this macro to leap to the end of (say) a function in php. Just be
presing one button not having to scroll or do more than nesacary (is that speled
corect?).

Ctrl+Shift+F, perhaps search the forum for more information about handling
files.

Just try a couple of times. Perhaps clearing the selection will work. While
having the Find dialog open, click in the document itself and press CTRL+Home.
Then click the Find button again.

Hi,
I'm really keen to use Notepad++ but one of the features Editplus has that I
really like seems to be missing.
That is that if I indent a section of text that has wrapped (say a long
paragraph
inside of <p> tags), the entire wrapped section will indent. This makes my
code look very nice and clean.
I have seen no way to do this yet in Notepad++. I think this is what the guy
earlier was asking about with "multiline tabbing", but no one could understand
his English (although I could be wrong).
In any case, I want a wrapped section of text to look like this:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
instead of this:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Is that possible using Notepad++ or any of its plugins?
Thanks!

nothing positive to report. Any chance the newer version of Comodo is causing
some kind of problem? I installed that a few days ago.

I just downloaded and installed the 4.8.1 executable. It also doesn't work
on my laptop? Very odd. I'm gonna reboot machine.

figured out likely solution.
The file itself was "read only"
When I unclicked that the "replace" then started working normal again.
Hope it is root cause.

I get this problem too, I can't press Alt+f+s to save. Ctrl+s still works.
