You were right, this has been asked before. But I only got the search to work
correctly once, the rest of the time I got "unable to connect to search server"
and a few lines below it "No results were found." Which ain't exactly the same
thing is it now? Like saying 0 == null. If I decide to host an open source
project
i think I'll look at googlecode first. I've used sourceforge as a spectator
for years and always found it to be clunky, inconsistent and flaky.

I'm not so sure whether the problem is Notepad++ or FileZilla here. To me it
seems like they aren't working together too well at the moment.
Bill, my primary FTP client is FTPRush, NP++ works fine with this however I
also occasionally use FileZilla so ran this and tried editing a textfile
on my server. I get the same result as yourself. This was using FilZilla 3.07,
however I also have FileZilla version 2.2 installed and tried editing the same
file while connecting through this and everything worked fine.
I can only conclude that the latest version of FileZilla doesn't work well with
Notepad++.

My guess is a bug in a plugin. Try taking all of the .dll files out of the
Plugins folder and see if it fixes the problem. If so, add them back in one
at a time, restarting Notepad++ between each one until the problem appears
again.
Then you'll know which plugin is causing the problems.

Use FTP_synchronize Plugin (coms with Notepad++ OR) to edit your ftp server
side file.
SFTP is not yet implemented, but afaik is in planning (right, Harry?)
