I'm having the same problem. When ever I open a utf-8 without BOM encoded file
notepad++ auto-detects it as ANSI. I know that without the BOM notepad++ gets
confused but I'm hoping there is some way to give utf-8 w/o BOM a higher
priority.

In the: "FAQ,Auto-completion HOWTO"
a nice long list of api files are given. However, my standard installation only
has 16 of these. some are missing like bash etc.
Are these stored somewhere?
Has anyone made one for starbasic?

4.8.2 crashes on me too, inmmediately at startup. De-install and reinstall
doesn't
help. 4.7.5. works. XP SP2.

I agree, I don't think it should do the indentation until text is entered ---
but then the cursor needs to be positioned where the indentation will be. Damn
I hate tabs for exactly reasons like this.

WinXP SP2. From within jZip/WinZip/7zip (practically anything, now) right-click,
open with, Notepad++, program crashes with the ever-informative Windows popup:
Notepad++ : a free (GNU) source code editor has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Version 4.8.2. I stopped using NP++ some time ago because of this error. I just
re-installed it and, yep, same thing. I switched over to Programmer's Notepad
2 (which doesn't exhibit this error) but I *really* like NP++ better.
Things to check on my system??

New user of NotePad++, I read you can add new languages.
Do we have any 'ABAPers' out there? This could be a good tool for viewing ABAP
offline of SAP --I don't program in ABAP but often have to 'read' it.
