I guess so. I believe this has been possible for other filetypes as well. It's

There seems to be a problem with the item "New File...". That doesn't work
on version 1.7.2 (WinXP), neither in the directory section nor in the file
section
of Explorer.
Creating directories, on the other hand, are no problems.
Is this a known issue?
