Hi,
Installing brand new version 4.8.5 in Catalan I've lost the language, and I'm
reading all the menus in Spanish (Espa?ol).
I've tried to directly download the "catalan.xml" file from the web, and it's
the same spanish file.
How can I revert to the original Catalan (catalan.xml) file?

You can SEARCH for tabs and CR/LF linebreaks by selecting them and opening the
dialog. They selected text will be copied into the Find field. This will only
work with the regular expression checkbox unchecked.
You can (RE)PLACE tabs and CR/LF linebreaks by entering \t for a tab and \r\n
for a linebreak into the Replace field and checking the regular expression
checkbox.
However, you can't search and replace CR/LF linebreaks at the same time this
way.

Notepad++ crashed yesterday and my work disappeared, without any hope of
recovering.
I was reconsidering its position on my computer. It seems that there aren't
any great editors for windows, that's why I tried it. Today I'm considering
to give it another chance, by considering an update. But when I went to its
website, I saw that banner... I don't think I will give it another chance when
I see it.
Technical people should never use their popularity to advertise their own
political
opinions, even if you were right! Do you understand you only show ignorance
about this matter? You will do the same thing to your product, so I don't think
you can make it great.

You can, of course, use both ways to finally achieve what you want.
Just use the normal mode to replace your text by some identifier that can be
used in regex mode and then replace that identifier with some tab(s) or CRLF
linebreak.

What if you copy your file to a subfolder and open it from there?
Could this have anything to do with your access rights to a drive's root
folder?
