No, the column mode from Multi-Edit is much better. It lets you switch to
various
highlighting modes on the fly by right clicking. If you have never used it,
it is WAY cool.
Now, Ultra-Edit hex mode kicks Multi-Edit hex mode.
If Note++ had ME's blocking mode and UE hex mode, it would be KING of the heap.
Is anyone listening? (I would even pay for it if had these two features.)

Hi,
I used the auto-updater today and I am wondering if it was a good idea. My
Styler
configuration is gone, My favorites from Light Explorer and all my FTP accounts
from the FTP plug-in have disappeared!
Is there a way to update without having to redo your configuration?
Thanks,
SB

I can only advise to always have or create a backup before updating or
upgrading.

Your problem is probably that youve either added or removed the file
doLocalConf.xml
If its present, delete it. If its not there, add a new 0kb file with that name
(in Program Files\Notepad++)

I found the fold and comment opening character and keyword need to be followed
by a space for the user defined language to fold and highlight correctly.

> 1. ...How to handle sorting arrays?
I'd say that you'd only sort arrays on the variable name, and leave the child
nodes in natural order
> 3. ... I can fix a bug/feature so that notepad will remember where the whole
DBGP window was docked
perfect. thats a great solution, its easy enough to deal with the internal
tabs. its the docking of the panel thats the prob
thanks for the prompt response. the dbgp plugin continues to be a great tool,
these enhancements will only make it that much better.

The TextFX short seems not to work correctly.
I got the wrong result from shorting ascending:
document.1
document.10
document.19
document.2
This should be:
document.1
document.2
document.10
document.19
So how can I achieve this result?
Thx very much indeed.

Hi,
if i make search for this topic in n++ sf forum, i would find around 3 topics
with around 10 posters
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1999067&forum_id=331754
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1904405&forum_id=331753
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1685509&forum_id=331753
I also had this issue with n++ version < 4.8.2. I used to see that the cursor
used to point to the seached keyword but not the page focus.
today i used n++ 4.8.5 and i think this issue is solved. Now i see that f3 or
shift+f3 doesnt stick to focused page but moves down and up to search the terms.

I found NPP exist a BUG.
Example:
create a text file and content as underside of code:
--------------------------------------------------------
.MODEL SMALL, C
.DATA
?buff DB?"This is a example.", 0
.CODE
Strlen PROC?USES AX BX, String:PTR BYTE
MOV BX, String
XOR CX, CX
MOV AL, [BX]
.WHILE?AL!=0
INC
CX
INC
BX
MOV
AL, [BX]
.ENDW
RET
Strlen ENDP
.STARTUP
INVOKE?Strlen, ADDR buff
.EXIT?0
END
--------------------------------------------
file rename as:test.asm, application throw exception when NPP open it.
I think the BUG is caused by Assembly language plus.

Is there a way to have a 'vertical' plugin occupy the whole vertical side of
NPP, when there is also a horizontal plugin present and displayed?
It seems that a horizontal one takes precedence and occupies the whole width
of the host NPP application, causing the side docked plugins to be 'vertically
challenged'.
I am wondering if there is an option to alter this behaviour, or some other
means to get the vertical ones to trump the horizontal ones...
Please review and advise. Thank you!

Thanks for the advices guys.
I solved most of my problems by copying some files from my D:\Program
Files\Notepad++\plugins\Config directory to the APPDATA directory. Only my
favorites
are lost but it is not too bad.

I have posted a visual here, of what I am trying to accomplish.
As you can see here:
http://img182.imageshack.us/my.php?image=npparmbasicideno5.png
, I have the function list n the right side, the explorer on the left, and my
IDE plugin down in the bottom center.
This IS the desired layout. However, please note that the IDE plugin is
floating,
not docked, and as such, the edit window actually extends down and behind the
IDE Plugin's child window (as evidenced by the scroll button disappearing behind
the IDE Plugin's window...
Here is a screen shot of what it looks like when it is docked:
http://img171.imageshack.us/my.php?image=npparmbasicidedockedzd4.png . Please
note how it extends the full width of the host NPP window.
Ok, I hope that this helps to illustrate what it is I am struggling with.
Thank you!
