Is there a way to cancel out of CTRL+TAB? In Windows, if I start ALT+TAB and
then hit CTRL or ESC it cancels out. Minor annoyance, but it would be nice to
have this functionality in notepad++.

Ultraedit has a very useful feature: Rigth click over the tab/Save with another
name.
You can change the name the name of the file you are actually working on without
Save as.../Save your file with another name/Delete the file with the old name
from your drive.
I think it's real save-time feature and I wonder if it could be added to
Notepad++
in a future version.

Trust me - whilst that may be true of some cases, it is not always the case.
I have posted questions here in the past and been given the rather terse 'search
the forums' reply, which is incredibly frustrating when I've just spent 10
minutes
searching them with no result. All in all it makes the forums seem very
unfriendly
when people come here for help and are essentially told to 'go away'.
What would be a better approach would be to have a FAQ somewhere that can be
publicly updated (e.g. on a wiki) so that whenever anyone asked a repeat of
a question you could add it there and point to it, which would be a lot more
helpful to the person looking for help, and also a lot more useful as a
resource.
It will also allow people such as myself, having struggled with an issue, to
add the resolution for other people to find, as well as (once it has reached
a critical mass of useful material) reducing the number of repetitive questions
asked here.
This is how a lot of other groups do it (for example the SVN developers) and
it works a lot better, both for individuals and also in fostering a sense of
community.
To bring this back to the original post, I have still not found anywhere that
gives an actual answer to the question. Lots of posts asking similar questions,
but no answers... except to search the forums!
