You better search the N++ forum! Here exist just another litle tool
"MS-Notepad-Replacer".
A Notepad++ Replacer with a GUI for replacing MS-Notepad.exe with the N++
Launcher,
that temporary disables Windows Protection for MS-Notepad.exe.
Really tricky tool, i?ve tested.

Please, if you want to be take seriously, consider this:
1. If you are posting a request that has been posted before, don't expect to
get any answers, because all may have been said before.
2. If you still are posting a request, then tell what you want. Do not simply
refer to another piece of software with the same functionality that is already
available. Probably the only thing that keeps you from using it, is that you
have to pay for it: you actually have to do something in return! So, if you
want something, wouldn't it be correct if you would put some effort into
explaining
what it is you want others to do for you?

I've been noticing this, too. It's very annoying that you can't rely on CTRL+Z
to bring you to a previous situation you know to have been better. You either
get two steps back, or to the same unwanted situation again, when pressing
CTRL+Y.

Turn on saving of session(s). Notepad++ will remember the selection made in
the document, the kind of selection (lines or block/columns) and the part of
the document currently shown. If you make a selection in the visible part
Notepad++
will show you just the same again after start-up.
Menu_____ : Settings
Option___ : Preferences...
Tab page_ : MISC
Option___ : Remember the current session for next launch (check this)
The option is in the bottom left corner of the MISC page, just above the Close
button.
In this case "highlighting" means selecting.

Is there any functionality available for Notepad++ that would allow for dragging
and dropping an image into html code and it auto-generates the img tag with
the correct dimensions (<img src= height= width= />)?

Thank you for the quick response,
Now I see I can only highlight 1 section or area at a time. I have certain files
I use to configure SIP Phones and there are several areas in the file I need
to change the values of.
These are rather lenghty txt files and becomes a pain to do find or scroll to
each area.
It would be nice if I could color code these areas to find them quickly.
Any way of doing this by chance?

This bug is related to the Brace highlight style and Bad brace color in the
Style Configurator -- Global Styles.
If you set font size to blank (and uncheck bold), it should make it fit better.
You may want to do some fiddling with that to find out what you think works
best.

This would seem to be an encoding issue where the file being read is really
unicode, but is being read as ascii. Unicode is 2 bytes/char, whereas Ascii
is 1 byte/char, and the first 256 characters in the Unicode character set
correspond
to the ascii character set.
If it is the case that the files are in unicode (UTF-8/UCS-2 -- I don't know
much about these) but being opened as if it were Ascii, then why isn't the file
getting recognized as unicode, and what do you need to do to get it to recognize
it as such.
That's about as much as I know about unicode. One of the developers who knows
more on the subject should pitch in and see what's going on.

This is a good idea.
Someone could extend this by writing a 'bracket interpreter' which goes through
a given file (selection) and checks to make sure that all of the brackets match
up (and giving an error if you have a situation like this: "[...{..]...}" where
the numbers match up, but there's a single bracket between each pair).

Some ideas:
- I guess you could make some macros to jump to the line numbers you want.
- You could break the file into parts, so that the bits you change are in files
by themselves, then run a little batch file to join them back together after
editing.
- In fact, you could probably write a batch file to ask you for the values you
need to change, then assemble the file using those values. No need for
Notepad++
then.
