Hi,
since v4.9 Find (or Replace) in selection doesn't work anymore. It seems that
it finds the first match _outside_ the selection. And "count" counts all matches
in the whole text, and not only in selection, too. This bug still contains in
this release.
And... I'm happy about tags match highlighting feature, but in some cases the
wrong closing tag is highlighted, in valid html-code.

I'd really like to see this feature too. I prefer the above suggestions, but
another alternative would be in the 'Find in Files' dialog, you could have a
button to select only the current file.
However it's done, I'd really like to see this. At the moment I have to open
the file in a new instance and use 'Find all in all opened files', it's a bit
of a pain.

AFAIU, that's an app that runs in the background and will update the content
of a file, if that content is changed by another application (hence, document
monitor: monitoring a document).
For instance, if you have a build ongoing that puts the output in a file, and
that file is loaded in NPP, then the content of that file will be automatically
updated at regular time intervals.

Xdebug Not working with Notepad++ Not flashin (New)

I set up notepad++ according to the instructions on the web site. I had already
had xdebug set up in my php.ini file. I also followed the instruction at
http://www.judiwa.com/wiki/How_to_Setup_BDGp_debugger_in_Notepad%2B%2B_to_Debug_PHP
Everything worked fine until part where I am suppose to enter
http://localhost/debugTest.php. I acutally use
http://127.0.0.1/Robin/debugTest.php
becasue that is where I saved the file. Well notepad++ does not "flash" as the
tutorial said it should, the step over, Step Into,Run,Stop, Step Out,Run To
menu choices and buttons are all greyed out. In the debugger section at the
bottom of the notepad++ window it says disconnected. I have done a netstat -a
-b and notepad++ shows as listening on port 9000. I even opened that port on
my linksys router just to be sure that was not blocking things. even though
I am running notepad on the actual machine that the php file is saved to.
After all this debugging still does not start. Does anyone have a reason why.
P.S. Yes I have done a phpinfo.php and xdebug shows up as loaded and running.
And yes I am using
http://127.0.0.1/Robin/debugTest.php?XDEBUG_SESSION_START=test.
Without the xdebug token that file runs just fine and gives the expected output.
Just to cover all the obvious causes.

Hi, what about HEX-Editor. Will it be return as a function in Notepadd++? After
using SciLexer.dll 1.7.5 and problem with coding there isn't HEX-Editor.

The problem to all users using UNICODE or Cyrillic for INPUT is NOT solved.
The version of SciLexer.dll 372 KB (380 928 bytes) 1.7.5.0 is still the same
so the problem still exists.
For all users with the above problem the solving of the problem is the same:
Replace existing SciLexer.dll with the one provided in Notepad++ 4.7.5 which
have this size and version:
SciLexer.dll 344 KB (352 256 bytes) 1.7.3.0

...a nd we still waiting for non buggy version ;)

1. "Format >> Encode in UTF-8 without BOM" would encode all the characters you
will enter as UTF-8 and removes the BOM signature.
"Format >> Convert to UTF-8 without BOM" would re-encode all the existing
characters
in your document to UTF-8 encoding. It changes the data and usually makes your
file bigger if it contains non-ANSI characters.
2. In order to make NPP "remember" the UTF-8 encoding (without or with BOM),
the file must have at least 1 (one) non-ANSI character (any character that would
take more than 1 byte). BEWARE, before you write non-ANSI character to a file
which was NOT encoded in UTF-8 encoding, you MUST choose the "Format >> Encode
in UTF-8 without BOM" option to make NPP to encode the data as UTF-8.
