Could someone tell me how to print the output with the verticle bars?
Thanks...
P.S. How do I search something in the Forum. I don't see any search box.

Which vertical bars? The tab markers?
The Search option is in the last item of the Forums hover menu (between Tracker
and Download)

Hi,
I have a pretty basic question. Is there a way to use a macro for find and
replace?
For example, I want to:
1. start recording the macro
2. find and replace "AAA" with "BBB" in all the open documents
3. find and replace "CCC" with "DDD" in all the open documents
4. find and replace "EEE" with "FFF" in all the open documents
5. save the macro
6. reuse the macro in the future
Notepad++ doesn't seem to save the find and replace functionality in its macros?
I've tried using a few macro related programs, but with limited functionally
for unicode characters.
Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks!

It may be more useful for the community to provide a solution instead of
whining.
At least you can choose not to use this application which wastes 45 minutes
in your life.

You are confused, that's Firefox XD
Atm N++ doesn't have that feature, at least until v5.0.3

Hi,
I got a feature request, or question how to do if already implemented:
I use this under Windoze at work, but one thing I like about Linux and such
is I can highlight text and paste it later without the need of saying copy.
PuTTY already exhibits this behaviour so I would love to have that feature in
Notepad++.
How do I make it a true Notepad replacement? If I were to double click txt,
nfo, etc, I want Notepad++ to open up, not windows notepad crapola.
When I save default text file, it does NOT append txt at file end. How come?
I think this is all.
Br,
jon

This is very clear.
As I understand things though, the file type detection is solely done by file
extension. You could always manually change the language when you open the file.

I have Notepad++ 5.0.3, and I tried pasting the data above into my stylers.xml
file in my personal Application Data\Notepad++ folder. I am guessing that this
is what I'm supposed to do with this file.
I started Notepad++ and the background was dark, so it seemed to work, but I
noticed some strange side effects. I went into the styler configurator to make
some changes to some of the fonts, and some of the settings under global
override
were missing, such as "enable global foreground color", and "enable font".
Is there any way to get them back while still keeping the dark background?

Hi,
When I close a file without saving or reload a file Notepad++ prompts me for
confirmation which I want to disable. Does anyone know where I can find such
an option? I searched but I couldn't find. Maybe I missed. Thanks for any
information.

Only if the columns are fixed-width (each is the same width).
Otherwise you'll need to import it into Excel or another spreadsheet to view
it the way you want.
If the columns are all the same width, then use a fixed-width font to view the
data.
