I tried Notepad++ Unicode 5.1 under WinXP-SP2 but a lot of very good plugins
don't work
(multiple clipboards, explorer (that is better than light explorer), and
others...)
for this reason I uninstalled v5.1 and reinstalled previous version.
I hope this problem will be resolved.

hello, i love this program, but have a question - when i want to save, i cant
use the vista "favorite folders" dialog... it works to open, but not save. does
anyone know why?

I have just downloaded the latest version of Notepad++ (v5.1) using the
installer
download, but when I run this application, I get the following errors regarding
all the plugins I had installed when I had Notepad++ v5.0.3:
This ANSI plugin is not compatible with your Unicode Notepad++.
This plugin is not compatible with current version of Notepad++.
Does this mean that all these plugins are not compatible with v5.1 or that the
plugins need to be updated by their respective authors or is there something
that I have done incorrectly?

I have received the same error messages on two machines. The installer offers
to delete the following DLLs due to reported incompatibility:
ComparePlugin.dll
Explorer.dll
LightExplorer.dll
NppExec.dll
NPPTextFX.dll
QuickText.dll
SpellChecker.dll
Interestingly, the change.log reports the following:
Included plugins (Unicode):
1. MIME Tools v1.5
2. NppExport v0.2.8
3. Doc Monitor v2.2
4. NppAutoIndent 1.2
5. FTP_synchronize v0.9.6
6. NppAutoIndent 1.2
7. NppDocShare v0.1
Included plugins (ANSI):
1. TexFX v0.24a
2. NppExec v0.2 RC3.2
3. Spell Checker v1.3.1
4. MIME Tools v1.5
5. FTP_synchronize v0.9.6
6. NppExport v0.2.8
7. Compare plugin v1.5.1
8. Light Explorer v1.5
9. Doc Monitor v2.2
10. NppAutoIndent 1.2
11. NppDocShare v0.1
Some of thoe plugins listed in that change.log are apparently the same ones
disabled by the installer.
So, I uninstalled and reinstalled 5.1. No error messages this time, and the
c:\program files\notepad++\plugins directory now contains the following .DLL
files:
doc_monitor
ftp_synchronize
mimetools
nppautoindent
nppdocshare
nppexport
apis/<19 xml files>
doc/FTP_synchronize.ReadMe.txt
Running the application, under the Plugins menu, there is no submenu anymore
for Light Explorer or Spell-Checker. Apparently they're not actually included.
So, I reinstalled 5.0.3, just to check. Sure enough, the Light Explorer and
Spell-Checker (I didn't exhaustively check them all) are there.
Uninstalled 5.0.3. Deleted c:\program files\notepad++. Installed 5.1. No
error messages. The plugins stated above are still missing.
I suspect we'll see a 5.1.1 within the next few days . . .
