See if you have the following file (your path might be different depending on
your install)
"C:\Program Files\Notepad++\Notepad++.UserManual.chm"
It's pretty skimpy but it might be useful.

Update: I've been playing with the LanguageHelp plugin
(http://fstellari.googlepages.com/npp_plugins) and it does exactly what you
want: launches a chm file and searches for the selected word. Can't tell how
it does it - the website doesn't offer source code to download - and I managed
to have it searching only in the first of configured files, but this might be
it.
